Trusted Choice's Chubb Insurance Score

3 Stars

We award Chubb a final rating of three out of five stars. First off, the carrier has an extremely rich and long-standing history within the industry. Having the highest possible rating from AM Best certainly can’t be ignored, either.

The carrier’s wide range of coverage offerings are available not just nationwide, but across the globe. Customer service provided by Chubb seems to be excellent in terms of availability and user-friendliness. The carrier has one of the best websites of any insurance company and provides 24/7 claims reporting.

Chubb was founded in 1882, giving the carrier well over a century of experience in offering quality insurance solutions for a wide range of customers. Businesses and individuals across the country have entrusted Chubb with providing reputable coverage.

Chubb is one of the U.S.’s leading commercial lines insurers and the world’s largest publicly traded P&C insurance company. The carrier does business in 54 countries and territories.

However, Chubb is not currently accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and has a poor rating. There have been more than 100 complaints filed against the carrier in the past three years.

Chubb is also known for having higher-than-average premium rates, though several discounts are available. Overall, we say go ahead and look into Chubb with your independent insurance agent. You just may also want to consider some additional options to be your next trusted carrier.
