"It is very good that Faye will come to your home--that alone is a tremendous help. The biggest problem with getting insurance under Medicare is not the insurance agency, it is getting through the bureaucracy of Medicare in time. You can't apply for it until 3 months before you need it, but it can take all or most of those 3 months to get approval which leaves you hanging! While you are waiting, all Medicare will tell you is that they haven't yet been informed of your approval from Social Security--very confusing, since Medicare & Social Security are different things. It is a good idea to seek advice during your transition to Medicare."
